I am a US citizen who started my immigration process in Costa Rica in 2021, and I appreciate being able to offer my experience and community resources to other queer and trans folks in the US who are considering relocation within the US, emigration, and/or living abroad.
Project Open Arms is a program through Trans Community Action to provide assistance and support for trans folks living in red states to relocate to Washington.
Trans World Express is a wiki site run by trans folks and allies in countries around the world to provide information about living conditions and immigration pathways by country. Organizers also facilitate secure chat groups by country via Signal.
Help Me Leave is another site that provides guidance for queer and trans folks in the US seeking to relocate internationally.
Rainbow Relocation offers relocation support services (for a fee) to queer and trans folks seeking to move abroad, as well as a subscription online support community.
Sam Holsather facilitates a monthly Migratory Grief group for queer and trans folks who have left the US.
I invite queer and trans therapists and coaches abroad to sent me an email if you'd like to connect and share resources. I also provide paid consultation to therapists who are considering living abroad while maintaining their practice remotely.
