Supervision

I am a Washington state approved clinical supervisor and offer supervision toward licensure with an intersectional social justice lens. I am warm, direct, and active as a supervisor, and I use an integrative approach to supervision that allows our work to grow with your development as a therapist. Supervision with me is a good fit for associate license clinicians who desire a focus on working effectively with queer and trans clients from a trauma-informed perspective as well as other clinical topics associated with gender and sexuality.

My fee for individual supervision is $150 per 50 minute session.

My fee for dyadic supervision is $90 per clinician per 50 minute session.

I do offer reduced rate options for supervision:

Private and group practice therapists in their first year in practice have the option to pay their own hourly rate per supervision session.
Therapists who are historically underrepresented in the mental health field (queer, trans, BIPOC, neurodivergent, etc.) and clinicians working in community mental health are welcome to use a sliding scale based on financial need.

Contract Supervision for Organizations and Group Practices

I offer clinical supervision as a contractor for group practices and organizations that need LICSW supervision for their LSWAIC clinicians. I have contract supervision experience with multiple organizations and may be able to offer both individual and group supervision depending on need.

Supervision Book Club: Decolonizing Therapy

The Queer in Practice Fall/Winter Supervision Book Club: Decolonizing Therapy is a group space to connect with other queer, trans, nonbinary, and 2S + Indigiqueer clinicians to grapple with the colonial nature of the mental health field and explore what it means to politicize and decolonize our practice.

While this group is primarily oriented toward associate licensed clinicians, independently licensed clinicians, graduate students in counseling and social work programs, those who have divested from licensure, and others in the mental health field are also welcome.

Structure: Each group meeting will focus on one chapter from Decolonizing Therapy by Dr. Jennifer Mullan. We will engage in embodied and somatic practices during the group as well as exploration of action outside of the group.

Fall/Winter Dates: Biweekly Tuesdays for 12 weeks. Start date TBD once group reaches full enrollment. Group members are asked to commit to attend the full 12 weeks.

Time: 12-1pm (You are welcome to eat during group!)

Location: Online

Cost: Self-determined fee from $20-80 per meeting ($240-$960 total). Two spots at no cost are reserved for Black, Indigenous, and/or undocumented clinicians.

Supervision Hours: This group provides 12 group supervision hours toward licensure for WA LSWAICs and LMFTAs (one hour accrued for each date attended). WA LMHCAs who are interested in a dyadic version of this supervision book club to receive supervision hours toward licensure can indicate interest at the registration link or by emailing me at fievel@transformationtherapy.org.

About your facilitator: I'm Fievel Steller (LICSW), a clinical supervisor, licensed independent clinical social worker, and therapist with 10+ years of postgraduate work in the mental health field in multiple settings. My experience is informed by my intersecting identities, some of which including being white, queer, trans and nonbinary, a US citizen and an immigrant living outside of the US, straight-size, allistic, living with low-key chronic illness and pain, and coming from a rural lower middle class background. I look forward to co-creating a group space together that centers liberatory queerness in practice.
